Why Intelligent Banking demands a new conversation

Banking has entered a new phase.

The conversation is no longer about whether financial institutions should be digital. The leaders pulling ahead are using data, AI, automation and connected experiences to help employees make better decisions and customers get better outcomes, and that’s the conversation AXIS is built around.

In 2027, those conversations will be more important than ever as institutions navigate AI adoption, customer expectations, operational efficiency, growth and increasing competitive pressure.

Attendees will gain firsthand insight into how Candescent is putting Intelligent Banking into action including the continued evolution of Votiv and the innovations helping financial institutions turn intelligence into outcomes.

Candescent was recently named the only Emerging Innovator in the QKS SPARK Matrix™ for Digital Banking Platforms, a distinction that reflects both vision and momentum as the industry evolves. That recognition and the roadmap behind it is what AXIS 2027 attendees will get a front row seat to.

As Head of Experiential at Candescent, I spend much of my year thinking about a simple question: What makes an event truly valuable for the people who attend?

For me, it comes down to creating opportunities for learning, connection and discovery. That's the lens for AXIS 2027, taking place from April 19-21, 2027 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Why industry leaders continue to choose AXIS

The financial services industry is not short on conferences. What makes AXIS different is the community.

Most vendor conferences are built around once company’s roadmap. AXIS is built around the room, from banking and credit union leaders, to industry experts, partners, consultants, analysts and Candescent leaders, all brought together to have honest conversations about the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.

The result is a uniquely collaborative environment where attendees can learn not only from presenters on stage, but also from peers facing many of the same decisions, priorities and market pressures.

At AXIS 2026, attendees represented financial institutions with more than $5 trillion in combined assets. More than half of attendees were Senior Director level or above, and nearly one in five attendees were C-suite executives. That concentration of decision-makers changes the kind of conversation that’s possible on site, making them strategic, practical and focused on solving real business challenges.

What attendees told us after AXIS 2026

The feedback we received after AXIS 2026 reinforced why this event continues to grow year after year.

Ninety-six percent of attendees said they would attend again. Ninety-five percent said the conference was a valuable use of their time. Eighty-six percent said AXIS increased their confidence in Candescent as a strategic partner.

That feedback is directly shaping AXIS 2027.

How Candescent and Votiv are shaping what's next

One theme running through AXIS 2027 is how Intelligent Banking is moving from vision to value.

Financial institutions today are navigating a critical transition. AI is moving from experimentation to implementation. Customer expectations continue to rise. And leaders are looking for practical ways to drive growth, efficiency and personalization without increasing complexity.

Those realities are shaping the conversations we plan to bring to the AXIS stage.

Expect thought-provoking keynotes, practical breakout sessions, executive discussions and peer exchanges focused on topics such as AI adoption, transformation readiness, customer experience, operational excellence, fraud prevention, payments modernization and the future of Intelligent Banking.

Attendees will also see specifically how Votiv is connecting data, insights and action for institutions today, not a roadmap preview, but what’s already live. The goal is not simply to talk about the future of banking, rather it’s to show practical steps toward it.

Why experience matters as much as content

The AXIS agenda is designed to deliver insight, but some of the most valuable learning happens when attendees hear directly from peers who are navigating the same opportunities and challenges.

AXIS 2027 adds more client-led conversations, peer discussions and real-world success stories, sharing where they’ve found success, what obstacles they’ve encountered and the lessons they're learning along the way.

Attendees will connect directly with Candescent leaders, product experts, partners and industry specialists in formats designed to encourage dialogue rather than one-way presentations.

We’re also designing AXIS 2027 to be more personal. Attendees will have an opportunity to tell us what matters most to them, helping us connect them with the sessions, conversations, people and solutions most relevant to their priorities.

That dialogue is what makes AXIS worth three days out of the office as attendees leave with practical insight they can apply at their own institution, not just notes from a keynote.

I hope you’ll join us for an unforgettable experience that brings together industry perspectives, client success stories, meaningful conversations and memorable moments at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, April 19-21, 2027.

See you in Las Vegas.
